Print Long-Form

I won an award of merit in the professional division for the 2025 Creative Best. I submitted my “100 Days of Doodles Activity Book” that I created during that year.

I completed the 100-day challenge by doodling every day for 100 consecutive days. During this time, I was thinking about how I could make some sort of art book that would allow anyone to express their creativity. I told my mom about my idea, and she proposed that I make an activity book for her classroom. After she was approved for a grant to get the physical books made, I started putting all my doodles together and adding prompts in order to make an activity book that sparked imagination without the pressure of creating something perfect.

The kids in her and multiple other teachers’ classrooms started using the book back in October, and my mom talks about how much the kids love to doodle in the books. It makes me so happy to see that something I made is inspiring others to create!

I won Best in Student Illustration in 2021 with my drawing of an original character called “CTRL”. CTRL stands for Carl the Robot Lord. I drew CTRL for my Illustrator class when I was at Columbus State Community College. For the project, we had to create an original character and draw it in three different poses. I ended up taking one of the poses and polishing it into a more finalized drawing.

My Entry

I chose to do a project with the brand Brunswick because I started bowling when I was ten, and it quickly became a big part of my life. My goal for this school project was to create a subscription box that would allow bowlers to improve their craft.
